I�m here to talk a bit about our newest PSN title � Shank 2! Honestly, it�s been a fantastic journey. We bet everything on the first game, and the fans both supported us and gave us meaningful feedback on the game.

The encouragement has not only allowed us to survive and thrive, but gave us a huge reason to take a look at the game and make big improvements. I�m here to talk a bit about what we�ve been working on.Let�s start with the art. As you may know, our entire art team consists of professional animators and painters from the 2D animation industry, and again Jeff Agala directed the visuals. The goal here was to blow away our previous fidelity and set a new bar for ourselves.

To do that, we doubled the resolution of all the source character art to push the graphic novel style, adding a huge amount of extra detail to the environment and even doubling the amount of animation in the game.We�ve shabk worked hard on making environments are far more interactive � collapsing ceilings, crumbling floors, fiery environments, barrels and other large objects that you can pick up and hurl.And then there are the actual controls.

Shank has always been about the smooth combat system. And not just any combat system, but one where you use all your weapons strung together � chainsaw your dude, stick him with knives, throw him in the air, shoot him a bunch of times, then stick a grenade down his throat, all in an amazing animated style.So thinking about how to top that became a huge priority shak us.

In Shank 2, players not only get to carry their own weapons with new combos, grapples, grenades, and more, but we also get to use the enemies� weapons� while the enemies are still holding them.See the above image?

That�s Shank taking the guy�s own shovel and barreling it into his chest. Once the dude is finished, Shank can pick up the shovel and use it, again with a whole new move set.But probably shhank most important improvement is in responsiveness. This is probably where the most work came in. Literally, we ;s4 away the old combat implementation and rewrote the entire thing from ground up.

We built new tools to be able to more accurately map the hit regions, and paid huge attention to each frame. I can confidently say that Shank 2 is far more responsive.

One particular improvement that I�m super happy with is that we now have 360 degree shooting � no longer is Shank locked to specific angles in firing his guns � he can point them in any direction, and we�ve been able to make it happen while keeping the artistry in the animation.

That was quite a trick!And finally, I�d like to touch on the brand new Survival Mode. This is our new mode where players fend off wave after harder wave of enemies, bombers, and bosses together with a friend.What we learned from the Shank community is that, not only did they want to play together, they wanted to keep playing together.

That�s why, instead of doing another co-op story as we did previously, we created an awesome Survival Mode because, as fans ourselves, we wanted a way to play Shank with our friends over and over. Now, instead of blowing through the game in one sitting, we get to have a challenging, replayable mode where cooperation and skill shank 2 ps4 absolutely key to survival. It�s a blast.Over the next few months we�ll divulge more details about this new co-op mode, including the different maps, strategies in lasting longer, the different characters that you can use, and the in-game purchases that help you survive.

Shank 2 sees the protagonist fighting in a resistance against an evil dictator known as Magnus. Of course, before you can face him, the user will have to cut through his countless goons.

The enemies are varied, each with their own strategies of attacking. Some will pop shots from long distances, others will attack equipped with heavy shields. Most will just use pure brute strength. There�s several challenging boss battles, especially playing on Hard difficulty.

This game is all action from beginning to end. The whole game is like the last 40 minutes of The Expendables, but on a constant loop. Fire, Carnage and Mayhem. Explosions, Bullets flying, Syank rolling, and Blood shank 2 ps4 first game was 15 dollars the sequel is only 10.

Understand that this version of shank, is the supreme one. The game demands multiple play-throughs just figuring out all the unique ways you can take a life. There�s several counterattacks to almost every class of villain. Shank Takes a Baseball bat from an enemy, and shoves it through their throat. I wont even break shankk the Gun counters, please see for yourself. Other pss4 weapons include Molotov cocktails, Landmines, and the incredibly useful Sledgehammer. All of these weapons can be used in combos.

Some of the real fun in shank does come from its multiplier system. Linking hits together is even more of a challenge this time, but using Shank�s famous pouncing attack can help extend the life of a combo. While the AI has been �Amp�ed up�, Klei gives the player a fighting chance due to S2�s impeccable combat system.The story also allows you to play as female lead Corina, who is also in the resistance. She is one tough lady. Equipped with Uzis, Revolvers, and a scythe, she�s a lot more than just a costume swap.

Speaking of, the player can still unlock unique costumes for shank, and now Corina. Each costume shank 2 ps4 simply for cosmetic reasons. Some skins will alter attributes. This makes it fun to pick especially during multiplayer sessions. For example, Shank�s diseased mentor Cesar is a possible skin.

Selecting his skin provides the player with 20% Extra light attack damage, 20% more Heavy weapon damage, and 15% Ranged weapon damage.

Keeping the game balanced though, the player will have 30% less Health.We enjoyed the Coop Campaign from Shank 1 more than other reviewers, and would have loved to see another go at it. Especially with online capabilities, oh what could have been. Coop story has been completely pulled for a tower defense style two player mode, known as survival. There�s three supply cases in the levels you and a buddy must protect. Guard the supplies, and kill everything.

Wash, rinse, repeat. This mode is fun, but it should not have been a replacement to a traditional story. As an extra add-on though, this works. The maps are well designed but there is only 3 available as of this writing.This has to be one of the best beat-em-ups around.

As a man who grew up playing nothing but the genre, take this comment seriously. While the campaign will take the average player 4 hours to complete (6 on Hard), we�ve played full retail games that lasted the same amount of time with no replay value. Shank 2 as a shnak package is incredibly affordable at 10 dollars. If you call yourself an action fan, or have a pulse in general, do the right thing. Shank 2 addresses flaws Klei is acutely aware shxnk, so it practically shouts about how ahank better it is now than it used to be.

Main character Shank dodges with an effortless flick of the right stick, which is a massive step up from the clunky trigger/stick combo from the first game.Attacking and healing aren't tied to the same button as they were previously.

More importantly, its harshest conditions can't come close to the maddening challenge of its predecessor. This is perhaps the best step forward - the first Shank had some ridiculously difficult spots.

Zhank Shank 2, you'll only bash your head against the occasional brick wall as long as you let it stand. When shotgun blasts or the scythe aren't doing enough damage to certain characters, swapping to the revolver or chainsaw is usually enough to take 'em down.

Main character Shank no longer switches weapons on the fly during a level, though, and must instead trade gear between deaths. It's small inconvenience, but knowing weapon properties - bonus damage against fat enemies or a knock-back effect, for instance - and changing your strategy accordingly is the key to powering through tougher sections.
